Resistance 77 formed in 1979. We briefly went by The Anti Heroes, but soon chose a name that better reflected our sound and attitude. Inspired by the raw energy of the original '77 punk scene, we set out to keep that spirit alive at a time when the scene was turning thrashier.

Our first gig was in 1980 at South Normanton Miners Welfare. Since then, we've taken our brand of true punk and Oi! across the world — from the U.S.A. and the Czech Republic to France, Spain, Italy, Germany and beyond.

In 2010, we marked 30 years with 30 Years of True Punk & Oi, followed five years later by the 2-disc 35 Years of True Punk & Oi release, bringing together tracks and live recordings from across the decades.
